To become a Spanish citizen by residence you have to pass two Instituto Cervantes exams. DELE A2 tests the language: reading, listening, writing and speaking. CCSE is 25 questions on the Constitution, how the state works, and Spanish culture and society. Nationals of countries where Spanish is an official language only sit CCSE.
A2 is not a high level, but an exam is still an exam: people lose marks on timed writing and on the speaking part, not on vocabulary. So the lessons are built around the DELE A2 format, and the CCSE topics are worked through in Spanish as ordinary lesson texts. One course of study counts towards both certificates.

We find your level and work out how long A2 will realistically take.
We pick a group and make a plan: which exam to sit first and which session to aim for.
Lessons follow the group schedule; closer to the exam we move on to mock papers.
DELE A2 or higher and CCSE, both run by the Instituto Cervantes. Nationals of countries where Spanish is an official language are exempt from DELE but still sit CCSE. Current rules, fees and session dates are published on examenes.cervantes.es.
If you already get by in everyday Spanish, usually three to four months, mostly on writing and the format. From zero, around six to nine months of regular lessons. We can say more precisely after the trial lesson.
CCSE sessions are frequent and the material is finite, so many people start there. DELE dates are fixed, a few times a year, and registration closes early, so plan around the DELE calendar.
The Instituto Cervantes publishes and updates the official handbook with the questions, and it is free. In class we work through its topics in Spanish, so you understand what is being asked instead of memorising answers.
On the trial lesson: we find your level and tell you honestly how long A2 and CCSE will take.
